My cat that my parents have had since before I was born (Two years before).
Which makes him about 16-17, pretty old right?
Though he's old, he's still pretty healthy for a cat his age.
He hasn't been to the vet since we first got him, and today we took him.
He hasn't been eating any hard food which he usually eats and only eats the canned food. He has also lost a lot of weight these past three weeks and we didn't really know whats wrong.
This visit was horrible. The whole time we were there and when he was getting checked, he was screaming.
Screaming at the top of his lungs actually. I felt so bad for him because you could tell he was in so much pain :(
We found out he actually has an infection in his mouth, and thats why he hasn't been eating lately.
He would need surgery, and the surgery would be way too expensive.
The thing is, we are probably going to have to put him to sleep :/ I felt bad for my parents because they've had him even before they had my and my brother Kyle!
At the vet, my mom started to cry because she knows how much pain he's in and knows putting him to sleep would be best.
I feel like I'm going to lose a family member...I am not ready for him to be gone :(
